Married and Back Blogging

It's been a few weeks but we are back from two weddings and recovering from them both. Adding to the chaos is a bunch of work travel for Craig (one trip Lizzie is going on followed by a Fourth of July on the family farm). Our first wedding was vanilla for family back east. Family from both sides flew or drove or took trains to our wedding locale. Our second wedding (our official, legal one) was back in L.A. and we decided to do something a little bit different...

We are very close with the Men and their girls in my MDHL fraternity, the Monarchs. After we got engaged Lizzie talked about wishing there was a way we could share our marriage with that special extended family. After everyone agreed wholeheartedly, we began to consider what to do at our group's Clubhouse.

With the help of our good friend Shanna, she gave us some excellent contacts and ideas and we set to work. First, the rentals for the dinner/reception. Next, the flowers, particularly this fetishy flogger-inspired bridal bouquet. Next, the cake. Sure, it's a bit cliche, but we thought it was fun. (And as it was chocolate with chocolate ganache inside, it was delicious too.)

But the most delicious thing was the bride. All the men came in their leathers and all the women were requested to dress in black. Lizzie wore an off-white leather corset and a custom bone colored skater skirt. She was ravishing.
We had a wonderful time with our biological family at a destination wedding. Even with a few travel struggles, everyone made it to the ceremony. But then we turned our attention to our legal ceremony with our family of choice here in L.A.

We’ve gotten very close to the Monarchs and their girls. When we were planning our wedding, I knew we had to do something here in town with them. But their response was a bit overwhelming. Our simple ceremony quickly got more involved. Luckily, we had tons of help here.

We started knowing that Craig wanted me to wear my custom made cream corset. I’d worn that corset during a scene that drastically changed the dynamic of our relationship years ago, so it has a certain significance to us. We quickly decided that a cream leather skirt would transform the corset into a wedding dress.
The ceremony was presided over one of our own, who found a clergy robe in the red, silver and black MDHL colors. It was hilarious and perfect. We wrote the vows, delivering something both humorous at times and serious others.

We were very happy to bring some additional extended family to the occasion. Erica Scott and her beau John attended. Erica is instrumental in my blossoming in the scene. She was the first woman who grabbed me by the hand so many years ago and said, "C'mon. I want you to spank me." Erica, I love you still. She and Lizzie have become friends over the years and she's been rooting for us for a long time. John, of course, is a dear. We were so thrilled when they said yes to our invitation.

Also present was Michael (of Michael and Kate from Colorado), also good friends from our various spanking parties and assorted other field trips. Kate was ill unfortunately, but Michael flew out from Denver just for the occasion.
When I described the “dress” to Shanna and SpankCake, Shanna immediately suggested I ask all the guest to wear black to the wedding. I knew the Monarchs would be wearing leathers, so this wouldn’t be a difficult request. Of course all the girls have fun black clothing as well.

Shanna also assisted us with a detailed list of suggestions, which Craig took over for the organization of the wedding. SpankCake was a wonderful help with so many things, including keeping me from losing my mind. Aranea was a great help with those last minute, forgotten details. The Monarchs and many of the other girls helped with preparations. I really can’t thank everyone enough.

In addition to the Monarchs and their girls, we were joined by a few dear friends from the spanking community. It was great to have friends from the scene where Craig and I met.
To our friends Erica, John and Michael--we thank you for joining us on our special day.

To my Brothers in the Monarchs--I can't thank you enough for your generosity, kindness, helpfulness and sheer brotherhood.

To the girls of the Monarchs--you are all delightful people I've come to know and love. Thanks for embracing Lizzie into the Monarch family and for all the help, particularly Shanna and Aranea.

Of course, it wasn't without the support, help, good spirits and good taste of SpankCake that a lot of this happened and turned out the way it did. SpankCake, you are a good girl and I'm pleased to have you in our family.

It was a fantastic day we will never forget.
One of the Monarchs performed the ceremony, wearing the most incredible outfit in MDHL colors. It was a memorable event, marked with both laughter and tears (at least on our part, I think there may have been both in the audience as well). Our individual vows are at the end of this post.

At the end of the ceremony, all the men in the audience took turns giving me a few swats to celebrate our marriage.

Afterwards, we had a meal catered by a taco truck (hooray for LA food trucks) and a fun themed cake. It was a great day spent with close friends. And, I managed to get at least one fun photograph with most of the girls!
Craig's Vows Lizzie's Vows
I am so proud and honored to be able to do this here, with my Brothers--and their girls--and to do it in the Monarchs Clubhouse. You are all our family and we are so happy to share this moment with you all. I am humbled by the time you have spent in helping with this day.

Lizzie, I am so lucky to have found you. How many times have I said I don’t even know how lucky I am that you wanted me to spank you. You’re my best friend, my partner, my confidante, my submissive, my slave, my fuck toy, my little girl and my baby. You do as you’re told. You follow our protocol. You rarely get in trouble and when you do and you’re punished, you’re contrite. In addition to what you do out of protocol and following my orders, you still dote on me, care for me, love me unconditionally and uncompromisingly. You know how I like my drinks. You know when I’ve had a bad day. You know how to make me feel better. You put up with me, deal with my nonsense and listen to me. You take it in stride when my implements wrap. You never top from the bottom, but you help me to top you better. You make me feel special and I think about you all day, every day. I love you more and more each day and this marriage is a demonstration of my commitment to you as the ultimate way I can show you my love.

I promise to take care of you, look after you, pay attention to you, listen to you, laugh with you, hold you when you cry, beat you, push you to the brink, share you and cherish you. I’ll be here for your migraines, your cramps, your downs but, more importantly, your highest highs, your furthest goals reached and your growth as an amazing, wonderful, intelligent woman. I’ll love you through it all as long as I am on this Earth.
I love you, Craig. Lots and lots and tons! You read me so well. You understand me. You allow me to be completely authentic. And you make me the best person I can be. You’ve even got me speaking in front of people, twice in one week! You support my dreams and encourage me to follow my passions. I am thrilled to enter this next phase of our relationship, making legal what has been true for so long: I am yours.

I promise to communicate with you, because I know that you can’t always read my mind. I promise to take care of you and to dote on you, all of the time. I promise to listen to you without judgement and to hear you without argument. I promise to love, honor, respect, and obey you always.

Nuptial Nuttiness

We didn't post last week and we really most likely won't get a chance to post again until after the 20th. Why? Our nuptials are this weekend with family and a week later with our kink friends — so things are just a wee bit crazy right now.

Until we have time to write, here's a series of gratuitous pics of Lizzie's bottom:
